When you think of U2 you think great music! They have been around since I can remember.
Tonight my perception about them took a turn in the wrong direction. I would go as far as saying that I would NEVER listen to a single song of them EVER. I am so disappointed in them.
Bono caused a stir in South Africa on Sunday after expressing support for the singing of an anti-apartheid struggle song that includes the lyrics "shoot the farmer". I do not support racism at all. I don't give a damn about skin. I believe that we are all South Africans and that we are all equal. I do not think Bono know what he have done.
He thinks there is nothing wrong with a song like that and he called it 'folk music'. FOLK MUSIC??? Is he insane?? He is going to fly back to Dublin soon and leave people with the seed he plant while he was here making money, and a lot of it. He don't know anything about our history (that is clear) or our country. People are suppose (a lot of people do) look up to him. And I am sure that many people value his opinion (sadly).
